Pancake Syrup

This pancake syrup is so yummy! I usually make two recipes and store it in the fridge. It stays good for a long time!



Pancake Syrup

1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar

3/4 cup Buttermilk

1/2 cup Butter

2 Tbsp. Corn Syrup

1 tsp. Baking Soda

Mix together all ingredients in a LARGE pot. Boil for 7 minutes. Add 1 tsp. Vanilla.

As this syrup boils, it will really puff up in the pot. So, make sure you use a large pot. I use a dutch oven for 2 recipes of this syrup. :)

  1. I have a similar recipe, but a little more simple to remember.

    1/2 cup buttermilk (I've made it with plain milk too, and it works)
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup white sugar
    1 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp vanilla

    Directions are the same :)
